Job summary
Renal Care Holdings in Durban is seeking a qualified Assistant Unit Leader to support the Unit Leader in delivering safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred dialysis care and to achieve the unit’s clinical, operational and quality goals. You will provide clinical leadership and coordinate care across the multidisciplinary team.
The role drives quality improvement, monitors outcomes, and ensures governance and infection prevention.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with SANC or HPCSA registration.
- Post basic nephrology or quality governance training is advantageous.
- Experience in supervising teams and driving patient-centred care.
Responsibilities
- Support Unit Leader in delivering safe, high-quality dialysis care.
- Provide clinical leadership and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
- Drive quality improvement and monitor outcomes.
- Ensure governance, infection prevention and staff development.
- In Unit Leader's absence, sustain continuity of care and outcomes.
