Job summary

National Renal Care in South Africa seeks an Acute Coordinator to lead day-to-day acute dialysis services and coordinate between hospital teams, doctors and NRC staff. The role involves planning staffing, equipment and resources and responding to urgent clinical or operational needs.

You will travel between hospitals in the region, work on the floor with clinical teams and ensure patient-centred care and high-quality service delivery in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree leading to registration as a Registered Nurse with SANC or HPCSA.
• Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in dialysis, renal, or acute healthcare.
• Coordination of multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Patient-centred care delivery with positive outcomes.
• Knowledge of governance, legislation, infection control and OHS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of acute dialysis services on the floor.
• Act as central liaison between NRC teams, hospitals and treating doctors.
• Plan anticipated dialysis requirements for staffing, equipment and transport.
• Respond promptly to urgent clinical or operational needs.
