Responsibilities
  • Oversee all raw material inspection, testing, and acceptance in alignment with company ISO requirements.
  • Support and integrate manufacturing processes as needed.
  • Test and approve new alternative raw materials and collaborate with suppliers regularly.
  • Manage and train laboratory and sales staff as required.
  • Assist the production manager in developing procedures for manufacturing products.
  • Oversee quality control for in-process products.
  • Plan and produce sales and marketing samples according to strategy and demand.
  • Maintain and record quality control records and retained samples.
  • Assist in drafting and finalizing product datasheets and MSDS.
  • Provide application training for approved applicators.
  • Evaluate and approve new raw materials and suppliers.
  • Recommend formulation changes based on raw material supply, specification, or availability.
  • Issue and validate formulations after capturing.
  • Conduct site visits to advise on best application practices.
  • Manage the application laboratory and its activities.
  • Support plant managers or supervisors with challenges related to in-process products.
  • Investigate quarantined products and raw materials, recommending corrective measures if they fail QA / QC.
  • Assist the sales team with current projects, new customer inquiries, and application method recommendations.
  • Investigate customer complaints, write technical reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure equipment calibration is up-to-date.
  • Ensure all laboratory processes comply with ISO9001, OSH Act, and company policies and procedures for research, development, and quality control.
  • Arrange and submit products for external testing or evaluation.
  • Safeguard technical records, including experimental descriptions, product specifications, technical reports, manufacturing procedures, quality control procedures, and other relevant ISO records.
