Job summary

Multiform Human Development (Pty) Ltd. seeks an experienced design leader to drive innovation in heavy engineering and mineral processing equipment. You will combine strong technical capability with proven leadership and a practical understanding of mining project needs.

The role requires 8–10 years' mechanical design experience in mining or heavy manufacturing, plus 3–5 years leading a design team. Travel to facilities and project sites will be necessary.

Qualifications

• BEng/BTech or NDip in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) required.
• 8–10 years' experience in mechanical design within mining, mineral processing, heavy engineering or industrial manufacturing.
• 3–5 years' experience leading a design office or drawing office.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to facilities and sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead design office and engineering design team for heavy equipment projects.
• Develop plant layouts, GA drawings, detail drawings and MDS.
• Ensure CAD standards, revision control and FAT readiness.
• Coordinate with fabrication teams and QA on manufacturing data packs.

Required Qualifications

• B.Eng., B.Tech. or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 8-10 years' experience in mechanical design within mining, mineral processing, heavy engineering or industrial manufacturing.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience leading a design office, engineering design team or drawing office.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to manufacturing facilities and project sites when required.
