Job summary

RecruitMyMom in Somerset West, South Africa is seeking a Deputy Responsible Pharmacist / Production Pharmacist to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team. This is a full-time, in-office position focused on production, regulatory compliance and quality assurance.

The ideal candidate has a Degree in Pharmacy, is ready to work in manufacturing, is proficient in Microsoft Office, and can lead cross-functional quality and production activities; occasional Saturday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Pharmacy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license and own transport.
• Willing to work Saturday occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining regulatory compliance
• Assist with maintaining the quality system
• Maintain the scheduled substance register
• Ensure all manufacturing processes are monitored and supervised
• Assist with the compilation of Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) in line with raw material and packaging specifications
• Review complete batch production and laboratory control records before the release of the product
• Ensure that all the opening, manufacturing, and close-outs in production are completed successfully
• Ensure all logbooks and records are completed
• Assist with the conducting of internal and external audits
• Action outcomes from internal and external audits accordingly
• Ensure non-conformances and deviations are recorded, and investigated and corrective actions are implemented
• Assist with recall investigations
• Ensure that product safety principles are applied
• Assist with product, material, and packaging specifications
• Assist with the facilitation of the staff Training Programme
• Monitor, action, and review the calibration and validation status of equipment
• Oversee ordering of raw materials/packaging/consumables, etc
• Oversee housekeeping/cleaning
