About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee operations at their facility in Soweto, Gauteng . This hands-on leadership role is critical for ensuring the efficient, safe, and compliant production of pharmaceutical products. You will lead a team of manufacturing technicians, manage production schedules, troubleshoot process issues, and ensure adherence to strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The ideal candidate will possess strong operational leadership skills, a deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety within the Soweto plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide a team of pharmaceutical manufacturing operators and technicians.
• Ensure that production activities are carried out in accordance with GMP, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage production schedules, ensuring timely and efficient manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.
• Monitor production processes, identify and resolve deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Train and develop manufacturing staff, ensuring competency in their roles.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Engineering departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Thorough understanding of GMP principles and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
• Experience with various pharmaceutical dosage forms (e.g., tablets, capsules, sterile injectables).
