Job summary

AVBOB Group is seeking a dynamic Department Head: Operations Support Insurance in Gauteng to lead regulatory compliance, system governance, and people management within the Insurance Operations Support function. Responsibilities

• Manage FAIS compliance, including the FSCA Central Register, Key Individuals, Representatives, Fit and Proper requirements, AML screening, and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee annual FSCA levies and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
• Lead system governance for Sinawe and Broker Connect, including change management, UAT testing, stakeholder coordination, and system improvements.
• Monitor and manage minimum wage governance, representative debt, and coaching administration.
• Drive operational controls, risk management, process improvements, and reporting.
• Lead, develop, and manage staff while ensuring compliance with HR policies and labour legislation.
• Provide operational support to management and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and training material.
