We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented and self-motivated Demand Planner to manage stock levels, forecasting, planning, allocations and supplier relationships across multiple customers and locations.
The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining optimum stock levels, ensuring assured supply, managing inventory and providing accurate reporting while building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders. A strong sense of urgency and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain optimum stock levels across multiple locations.
- Conduct weekly forecasting and monitor stock cover.
- Maintain accurate stock cover and projected days cover reporting.
- Monitor safety stock levels, supplier lead times and stock parameters.
- Identify and manage potential stock-outs, overstock and slow-moving inventory.
- Manage out-of-stock reporting and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor ordered vs. invoiced reports and action anomalies.
- Manage assured supply, purchase orders and supplier deliveries.
- Follow up on non-deliveries and coordinate new delivery slots.
- Manage inbound deliveries and assist with import/export processes where applicable.
- Maintain forecasting and interface tools to support delivery schedules and DC capacity.
- Analyse short shelf-life, overstock and non-moving stock and develop action plans.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for customers and stakeholders.
- Maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers and distribution centres.

Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12.
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain.
- APICS CSCP certification advantageous.
- 25 years procurement experience, preferably within an FMCG/QSR environment.
- Sound knowledge of shelf life and related fields.
- Valid drivers licence.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Experience with MS Great Plains and Barnton.
