Placements24 is seeking a Delivery Van Operator to service the Soweto, Gauteng area. You will deliver e‑commerce packages door‑to‑door, load and unload, follow routes, obtain proof of delivery, and maintain vehicle condition.

The role emphasizes reliability, punctuality, and strong customer service in a fast‑growing logistics environment. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of delivery experience, a Code 8/B (or C1) licence, and is familiar with Soweto roads.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (Code 8/B or Code 10/C1) is required.
• 1–2 years delivery driving experience in courier/e‑commerce is preferred.
• Good familiarity with Soweto roads and neighborhoods.
• Physical ability to lift/carry packages up to 15 kg.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Willingness to undergo a background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate a light commercial van for door-to-door e‑commerce deliveries in Soweto.
• Load/unload packages and handle with care to avoid damage.
• Follow optimized routes and schedules from dispatch.
• Obtain proof of delivery from customers (electronic signature).
• Provide excellent customer service and be courteous.
• Carry out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report maintenance.
