Job summary

Mr D, a Takealot Group company, seeks a Data Product Manager to define, develop, and execute a comprehensive data product roadmap. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business, engineering teams, and data scientists to drive data-driven strategy and outcomes.

You’ll shape data strategy, prioritise initiatives, and advocate for data governance while delivering data products end-to-end. This is a roles-focused position with a strong emphasis on cross-functional execution and growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 5 years of proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably in ecommerce or data-centric enviroment.

Responsibilities

• Data Strategy & Roadmap Development: define a holistic data strategy and prioritise projects for the product roadmap.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Advocacy: evangelise data and align OKRs with business goals.
• Product Development & Delivery: work with engineering to plan and deliver data products and capabilities.
• Governance & Metrics: promote data governance, quality, and compliance; define success metrics.
• Problem-Solving & Execution: explore opportunities and work with teams to reduce uncertainty and deliver results.
