Job summary

DotActiv (Pty) Ltd. is seeking an Assortment Planner in Sandton, SA, to drive data-driven product selection and optimal shelf mix across client portfolios.

You will perform strategic assortment planning, cluster analysis, SKU rationalization and performance analysis, partnering with retailers to maximize sales and profitability. A degree in Consumer Science or Commerce and advanced Excel skills are essential, with 2+ years in retail.

Qualifications

• A Consumer Science or Commerce degree from an accredited university.
• Advanced MS Excel skills with complex formulas, VLOOKUPs, and Pivot Tables.
• Strong business English: read, write and speak at a professional level.
• 2+ years in a retail environment is advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence and vehicle; travel on-site to meet clients.
• Laptop with Windows; DotActiv software requires Windows and a laptop allowance is included in the CTC.

Responsibilities

• Strategic assortment planning using data-driven insights.
• Cluster analysis to optimise product ranges per category.
• Ensure right product mix at locations to meet shopper needs.
• Analyze financial performance and shopper behavior for category improvements.
• Rationalize SKUs and identify gaps in a range.
• Advising and guiding retail clients with data-driven recommendations to drive sales.
