Betway Africa is seeking a data-driven Paid Social Media Specialist to join our Digital Marketing team in Johannesburg. You will own paid social strategies, optimize campaigns across Meta, Instagram, X and TikTok, and deliver measurable growth.

You’ll analyze performance, manage budgets, and present insights to senior stakeholders, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with marketing goals. The role requires 3+ years in paid social, a marketing degree, and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital marketing qualification, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in managing paid social media campaigns, preferably in gambling or entertainment.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and their advertising capabilities.
• Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager) and data interpretation.
• Meta Blueprint and other relevant platform certifications.
• Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive paid social media strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement and retention.
• Plan, execute and optimize paid social media campaigns across platforms (Meta, Instagram, X, TikTok).
• Monitor and analyse campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations.
• Manage budgets to maximize ROI and achieve KPIs.
• Generate detailed performance reports with key metrics and insights.
• Collaborate with marketing to align social campaigns with broader objectives.
• Develop compelling ad creatives and copy for target audiences.
• Stay updated with industry trends and platform updates.
