The Focus Group in Cape Town seeks a Data Center Solution Sales professional to bridge technical depth with business value. You will analyze client needs across networking, servers, security, and power systems to craft tailored data center solutions.

The role emphasizes translating complex technical details into clear business benefits and collaborating with clients to ensure resilient, compliant, and efficient data center operations. On-site work in Cape Town is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of network architecture, IP routing, switches, and fiber optics.
• Understanding of bandwidth provisioning, cross-connects, and network redundancy.
• Basic understanding of server hardware, storage solutions, and virtualization technologies.
• Awareness of hardware lifecycle management and maintenance.
• Knowledge of physical security measures (access controls, surveillance).
• Understanding of compliance standards relevant to data centers, such as ISO 27001, SOC, PCI DSS, and GDPR.
• Familiarity with uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generators, and cooling solutions.
• Ability to discuss energy efficiency and power usage effectiveness (PUE).
• Experience with remote management tools and monitoring systems.
• Understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup solutions.

Technical experience includes:

Networking and Connectivity
