Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst specializing in Reservoir Performance to join a hybrid team in Soweto. You will transform production and reservoir data into actionable insights to optimize field operations and maximize resource recovery.

You will collect, clean, analyze, and visualize large datasets, develop dashboards, and collaborate with reservoir engineers to inform field development and management strategies. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Petroleum Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or equivalent).
• 2–4 years of data analyst experience, preferably in oil and gas.
• Proficiency with Python (Pandas/NumPy), R, or SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst specializing in Reservoir Performance to join their hybrid team in Soweto . This role is critical for transforming complex production and reservoir data into actionable insights that drive better decision-making. You will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets related to well performance, production trends, and reservoir behavior. Your ability to extract meaningful patterns and communicate findings effectively will be instrumental in optimizing field operations and maximizing resource recovery. You will work closely with reservoir engineers and operations teams, contributing to a data-driven approach to asset management.

Key Responsibilities
