Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Production Data Analyst to join its distributed operations team. In this fully remote role, you will collect, clean, and analyze production data from multiple sites, including operations near Richards Bay, turning complex data into actionable business intelligence to drive cost savings and process optimization.

You will develop dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs for production efficiency, quality, and cost, and collaborate with production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data-related field is required or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst in production/manufacturing preferred.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, R, and Excel for data analysis.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Remote Production Data Analyst to join their distributed operations team. In this fully remote role, you will be instrumental in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting production data from various sites, including their operations near Richards Bay. Your insights will drive critical business decisions, identify trends, and highlight opportunities for process optimization and cost savings across the manufacturing division. This position is ideal for a data professional who excels at transforming complex data into actionable business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organize production data from multiple sources using various analytical tools and databases.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) for production efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Analyze production trends, identify root causes of issues, and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate remotely with production managers and stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Stay abreast of new data analysis techniques and technologies to enhance reporting capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst , preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), R, and Excel.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
