The ideal candidate has 8+ years in cybersecurity, including 3+ in management, deep knowledge of incident response, risk assessment, and security architecture, plus strong communication with executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in incident response, risk assessment, and security architecture.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, threat landscapes, and defensive technologies.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the organization's cybersecurity strategy and roadmap.
• Oversee security operations, including threat intelligence, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing cybersecurity team.
• Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (POPIA, GDPR).
