Qualifications

• Grade 12 with strong customs knowledge and compliance focus.
• At least 3 years' experience in customs clearing or similar role.
• Solid understanding of tariff classification, Incoterms, import/export processes and trade agreements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs entries for imports and exports.
• Ensure shipments comply with customs regulations and legislation.
• Verify and manage shipping documents: invoices, packing lists, manifests.
• Apply correct tariff classifications and customs valuation.
• Handle customs stops, detentions and inspections.
• Liaise with clients on import requirements like permits and origin certificates.
• Manage refund processes where applicable.
• Maintain accurate records and provide general admin support.
