Job summary

MVG Recruitment is seeking an experienced CSSD Manager for a leading private hospital in Cape Town. You will oversee operations of the Central Sterile Services Department, ensuring compliance with infection prevention, sterilisation and quality standards, while providing leadership to the CSSD team.

The role requires SANC registration as a professional/general nurse, a minimum of 5 years in CSSD/Theatre with leadership experience, and willingness to work flexi hours including night shifts.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with SANC registration and leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years in CSSD/Theatre with management exposure.
• Willingness to work flexi-hour system including night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the CSSD unit.
• Ensure quality assurance of theatre packs and sterilisation processes.
• Maintain infection control, hygiene, SHEQ, and sterilisation standards.
• Lead, develop, and manage CSSD staff performance.
• Control departmental equipment, stock, and budget.
• Promote multidisciplinary collaboration and service delivery.
