Job summary

Underground Ecom, a leading retention marketing agency, is seeking an experienced CRM Director for a long-term, hybrid role in Cape Town. You will lead a team of email marketers, copywriters and designers delivering Klaviyo-driven campaigns and automations for ecommerce clients.

You will communicate directly with clients, manage 10-12 accounts, drive strategy, report progress and ensure client retention. Full-time, UK-friendly hours, with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of E-commerce marketing experience.
• Experience leading a CRM/email marketing team.
• Confident in communicating with clients.
• Able to commit to a full-time position (Mon-Fri, 9 AM - 5 PM UK time).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5 to deliver email marketing services.
• Be the main contact for up to 10-12 ecommerce clients and manage projects.
• Build strong client relationships to improve satisfaction and retention.
• Provide leadership and daily operational direction for the team.
• Communicate with clients daily and produce progress reports.

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced CRM Director to join our agency in a long term, remote-based position. As CRM Director , you will lead a team of email marketers, copywriters and designers in the delivery of email marketing services (campaign/content strategy, flows and automations, lead generation and pop ups)for our e-commerce clients. You will be in direct communication with the clients and will be in charge of leading your team and implementing effective email marketing strategies for your clients.

Overview of core responsibilities:

• Managing a team of 5 to deliver and implement email marketing services.
• Be the main point of contact for up to 10-12 ecommerce clients, managing different phases of various email marketing projects.
• Build strong relationships with clients, focused on client satisfaction and long term retention.
• Provide leadership and direction for day to day operations and administrative tasks within the team.
• Communicating with clients on a daily basis.
• Creating client progress reports.

Qualifications:

• Email marketing experience (Klaviyo strongly preferred)
• 5+ years of E-commerce marketing experience
• Confidence in communicating with clients
• Be able to commit to a full‑time position (Mon-Fri, 9 AM - 5 PM UK time)

• Base Salary: Based on experience, skill & in relation to your current package.
