Job summary

Qualifications

• Clear criminal record is mandatory.
• PSIRA Grade C accreditation is required.
• CIT certificate is required.
• Firearm competency with handgun qualification is required.
• At least 2 years in security or related role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train as a future Custodian.
• Full responsibility for collecting and delivering clients’ money.
• Receive, sort and distribute consignments.
• Report delays to Branch Manager immediately.
• Prevent and report incidents.
• Maintain radio contact with controllers.
• Take preventative action against suspicious activity.

Job Purpose:

The above position is vacant at our Durban Branch. The overall purpose of this position is to collect and deliver clients’ money and provide proof of delivery and collection.

Minimum Requirements:

• Clear criminal record
• PSIRA accredited with a minimum Grade C qualification
• Cash In Transit (CIT) certificate
• Firearm competency – with a minimum handgun (for business purposes) qualification
• At least 2 years’ experience in security industry or similar role (Advantageous at FSG)
• Clear disciplinary record
• Valid driver’s license is an advantage
• Able to work under pressure
• Physically fit

Job Specification:

• Receiving, sorting and distributing consignments
• Report all delays to the Branch Manager immediately
• Incident prevention and reporting
• Maintain radio contact with controllers
