Job summary

Astron Energy (Pty) Ltd. in Cape Town seeks a capable Credit Analyst to assess, monitor, and manage customer credit risk across its portfolios.

You will analyse financial statements, credit bureau data, and references to determine creditworthiness and set appropriate limits and terms in line with DOA and insurance requirements. You will collaborate with Sales, Commercial and Finance teams to support profitable growth, monitor exposures, and perform regular credit reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics or Risk Management.
• 3–5 years of corporate credit, credit risk, or financial analysis experience.
• Experience assessing credit applications and preparing recommendations.
• Experience analysing financial statements and determining creditworthiness.
• Experience with credit facilities, portfolio reviews, and SAP ERP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and approve new customer credit requests per policy.
• Assess financial statements and references to determine risk.
• Monitor credit limits and perform periodic reviews.
• Process trade credit insurance applications and monitor insurer limits.
• Collaborate with Sales, Commercial and Finance to balance risk and service.
• Prepare risk reports and support audit requirements.
