Job Description

To be responsible and accountable for maintaining an allocated Debtors book:

  • Controls Dealer credit activities to minimise exposure to losses and maximise collections.
  • Continuous assessment of potential bad debts for review.
  • Liaise with sales divisions with regards to order queries, delinquent accounts, credit returns and the review of accounts.
  • Receive credit applications from sales divisions and perform required checks to open new accounts.
  • Periodic reviews of customer files and accounts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and updated credit-risk assessments.
  • Month end Debtors close off completed on time with no negative interest impact.
  • Teamwork to ensure team objectives achieved.
Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 with Tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting
  • Computer literate
Minimum Experience
  • 3-5 years practical working experience in a commercial credit control environment
Competencies
  • Methodical and accurate, paying attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates ability to grasp and work with processes and systems, well developed numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Good documentation and organizational skills.
  • Competence in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
