Job summary

Konecranes is seeking an Assistant Service Technician for our Durban team. You will assist inspections, maintenance and repairs on cranes and hoists at customer sites, ensuring safety features are functional and properly documented.

You will generate service reports, maintain tools, and help identify repair needs and quotations. We value a candidate with at least 1 year of technical experience, Grade 12, and a basic computer skill set; electrical trade is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 1 year of technical work experience.
• Excellent level of computer literacy (MS Office).
• Grade 12 (NQF 4) or equivalent; electrical trade is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist inspections, maintenance and repairs on cranes and hoists at varied customer locations.
• Document findings and ensure safety features function; issue safety notifications as needed.
• Generate service reports and ensure proper electronic documentation.
• Maintain equipment and tools in safe condition and report deficiencies.
• Provide accurate quotations for repairs and communicate with customers.
