Job summary

The Recruitment Center in Kempton Park is seeking a seasoned Diesel Mechanic specialized in mobile cranes (30T+).

You will service, maintain and repair cranes, diagnose hydraulic and auto-electrical faults, and perform preventive maintenance while ensuring safety and compliance.

This role requires a hands-on professional who can work in a workshop or travel to client sites, including standby, overtime and weekend work when required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic, Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic or similar trade.
• 10+ years' experience on mobile cranes (30-ton and above).
• Experience on lifting equipment or material handling machinery.
• Strong hydraulic and auto-electrical fault-finding experience.
• Experience on heavy equipment (yellow metal).
• Computer literacy and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair mobile cranes (30T+).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is safe and operational.
• Complete job cards and electronic service records.
• Maintain company tools and workshop equipment.
• Work in the workshop and travel to customer sites when required.
• Participate in standby duties, overtime and weekend work when necessary.
