Job summary

Efficiency Staffing Solutions (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Cost Estimator to provide preliminary financial overviews, assess scaffolding costs, and support early-stage planning and procurement.

The role requires experience in cost estimation, strong numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams. Site visits and coordination with project managers are essential components of the position.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• A bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, construction management or engineering is preferred.
• CCE certification is required or desirable.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Attention to detail and organisational skills are required.
• Proficiency in cost estimation.

Responsibilities

• Provide preliminary financial overview, scaffolding cost, early-stage planning and procurement.
• Review project drawings to understand the requirements.
• Perform site visits to gather information and access the scaffolding needs.
• Communicate with the clients to discuss project requirements and expectations.
• Use estimation software to calculate material, labour and transportation costs.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors and safety personnel to ensure estimates support site logistics and safety standards.
• Identify and calculate the costs for the project.
• Prepare and present cost reports to the clients/management.
• Monitor and track project expenses to ensure adherence to budget and reporting any discrepancies.
