Placements24 in Upington, Northern Cape, is seeking a Cost Accountant to manage and analyze complex cost structures within our mining and resources operations. This in-office role focuses on tracking, analyzing, and reporting production costs, with emphasis on profitability and efficiency.

The successful candidate will leverage cost accounting principles, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills to drive cost insights, support budgets and forecasts, and contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Cost Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of cost accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, methods, and standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be available to work full-time in Upington, Northern Cape, ZA.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and analyze cost accounting systems and records.
• Monitor and analyze manufacturing and operational costs, identifying variances from budget.
