Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Corporate Paralegal to support the legal team in Mahikeng, North West. You will draft and review corporate documents, manage minute books and registrations, and coordinate transactions while liaising with clients and regulatory bodies.

The ideal candidate has a diploma in paralegal studies and at least four years of corporate legal experience, with strong organizational and communication skills. A proactive, independent work style is essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of corporate paralegal experience.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance and South African company law.
• Proficiency in legal research databases and document management systems.
• Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review corporate documents (agreements, resolutions, disclosures).
• Manage corporate minute books, registrations, and filings.
• Coordinate corporate transactions (mergers, acquisitions, financing rounds).
• Conduct legal research for due diligence.
• Organize and maintain legal files with accuracy.
• Schedule and prepare for board and committee meetings.
• Communicate with clients, government agencies, and third parties.
• Support compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist with management of intellectual property portfolios.
• Prepare and file necessary legal forms and applications.
