Tangent International is looking for a Core Network Product Technical Engineer in Johannesburg, South Africa. This critical role involves supporting delivery, maintenance, and optimization of EPC and 5G core networks. Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with EPC and/or 5G Core network technologies.
• In-depth understanding of core network service flows and signaling protocols.
• Proven experience in EPC/5GC project delivery and operations.
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in telecom core environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform core network maintenance and troubleshoot EPC and 5GC issues.
• Support 5G network commissioning and rollout activities.
• Execute network expansion, upgrades, and optimization tasks.
• Analyze signaling flows and resolve complex technical issues.

Skills

Hands-on experience with EPC and/or 5G Core

Understanding of core network service flows

Troubleshooting and problem-solving in telecom core

Experience in network operations and maintenance

Strong communication skills
