The OE Agency is hiring a genuine copywriter for an independent contractor, part-time role. You will craft YouTube scripts, social captions, emails and launch copy while capturing the founder's unique voice across channels.

Copywriter | Coaching & Personal Brand

Location: Remote, South Africa

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor | Part-Time, Ongoing

Working Hours: 20 hours per week, with some overlap with Perth business hours (AWST)

Rate: AUD $10-$20 per hour (approximately R115-R230 per hour)

Estimated Monthly Earnings: Approximately R10,000-R20,000, depending on hours worked and the exchange rate

We help business owners scale through strong teams and remote operations, so they can grow without being the one holding everything together. We also run retreats for women who are building big businesses and big lives.

Our audience is ambitious, self-aware and ready for the next level. Our content needs to speak to that with clarity, warmth and conviction.

The Role

We're looking for a genuine copywriter. Not a VA who writes, and not someone who simply runs prompts through AI and tidies up the output.

We want someone who understands persuasion, voice and structure, and who can make a reader stop, feel seen and take action.

You'll write across multiple channels, helping us communicate our message consistently while capturing the founder's unique voice.

This is an ongoing, part-time opportunity for an experienced writer who enjoys creating meaningful content and understands how words influence decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Write compelling YouTube scripts and video hooks.
• Create engaging social media captions for Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook.
• Develop email newsletters and nurture sequences.
• Write landing pages, sales pages and launch copy.
• Create lead magnets and webinar copy.
• Capture and consistently reflect the founder's voice across different content formats.
• Apply direct-response copywriting principles, including hooks, offers, objections and calls to action.
• Incorporate feedback and refine copy to meet the intended message, tone and purpose.
• Deliver high-quality content within agreed deadlines.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of paid copywriting experience, ideally within coaching, personal development, online education or service-based businesses.
• A portfolio demonstrating both short-form and long-form copywriting, including hooks, captions, emails or sales pages.
• Demonstrated ability to learn a founder's voice and write consistently in that style.
• Solid understanding of direct-response copywriting principles, including hooks, offers, objections and calls to action.
• Excellent written English with a natural, conversational tone.
• Strong understanding of persuasion, storytelling and content structure.
• Reliability with deadlines and the ability to take feedback and iterate quickly.
• Availability for some overlap with Perth business hours (AWST), which is 6 hours ahead of South Africa.

Highly Regarded

• Experience writing for founders or personal brands.
• Familiarity with YouTube content strategy or funnels.
• Experience writing launch copy for programs or events.

Working Arrangements & Remuneration

• Fully remote, South Africa.
• Independent contractor engagement.
