St Peter’s Prep is seeking a Cook to join our school community from 1 January 2027. The role focuses on preparing nutritious meals for pupils and staff, while upholding strict food safety and hygiene standards.

You will support the Catering Manager in daily operations, catering for allergies and dietary requirements, and ensuring meals are served on time with quality and consistency.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure meals are prepared, cooked, stored and served at correct temperatures.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste and presentation.
• Assist with breakfast, lunch, snacks and other school catering needs.
• Ensure meals are served according to the school's timetable.
• Use fresh, seasonal and nutritious ingredients.

Role Overview:

The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious well-balanced high-quality meals to pupils and staff while ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained. The role focuses on supporting the Catering Manager in daily operations, contributing to a smooth and efficient cooking process.

Duties (not an exhaustive list):

• Prepare meals suitable for young children and staff, taking account of nutritional needs and appropriate portion sizes.
• Cater for allergies, intolerances, religious or cultural dietary requirements and other special dietary needs.
• Ensure food is prepared, cooked, stored and served at the correct temperatures.
• Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, taste and presentation.
• Assist with the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch, snacks and other school catering requirements as applicable.
• Ensure meals are ready and served according to the school's timetable.
• Make appropriate use of fresh, seasonal and nutritious ingredients.
