Job summary

Premier FMCG (Pty) Ltd in South Africa is seeking a Credit Controller with solid FMCG experience to manage customer accounts, reconcile ledgers, and maintain accurate master data.

You will drive timely payments, resolve disputes, and produce daily and monthly reports while upholding internal controls. The role requires at least 3 years in credit control and strong Excel skills. Closing date: 06 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years FMCG credit control experience.
• Strong knowledge of credit control principles.
• Matric/Grade 12 with diploma in credit control advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile large wholesale, independent and foodservice accounts.
• Resolve customer queries via visits and written communication.
• Ensure prompt payment within agreed terms.
• Maintain RM system customer master data up to date via MDM.
• Prepare daily and monthly reports.
• Release orders to customers.

Job Purpose

To ensure the collection of all due and overdue accounts, maintain accurate recons and attend to the resolving of discrepancies in this way ensuring adherence to customers agreed limits and terms.

Role and Responsibilities

• Reconciliation of large wholesale, independent and foodservice accounts
• Resolve customer queries through visits and written communication
• Ensure prompt payment from customers within agreed terms
• Total overdue 60 day and over to remain below 5%
• RM system customer master maintenance - up to date via MDM
• Check validity of customer deductions
• Communication with Customer Managers to obtain necessary authorisation to process claims
• Ensure rebates and promotions are claimed on time from Rebates Department
• Assist in compiling daily and monthly reports
• Releasing of orders

Experience and Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in FMCG credit control function
• Good technical knowledge in the field of credit control, appropriate to the
• Level of this position

Qualification

• Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
• A Diploma in Credit Control would be an advantage
