Job summary

Prosperitas Personnel seeks an experienced Contracts Manager / Site Manager for mining projects in Johannesburg. You will oversee white metal, aggregate and earthmoving contracts from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring safety, efficiency and contractual compliance.

You will manage site teams, plant and subcontractors, monitor production costs and liaise with clients and stakeholders to optimise performance and profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' experience in Contracts Manager / Site Manager / Operations Manager capacity.
• Specific white metal / aggregate experience is essential.
• Experience in open-cast mining, quarrying, crushing & screening, road construction, earthworks or heavy civil construction.
• Willingness to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee white metal, aggregate and earthmoving contracts from mobilisation through to completion.
• Take overall responsibility for contract performance, production, costs, resources and client relationships.
• Manage site teams, plant, equipment and subcontractors to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Monitor crushing, screening, loading, hauling and material production activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Monitor budgets, production costs, utilisation and overall contract profitability.
• Liaise with clients, mining operations and project stakeholders on operational and contractual matters.
• Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to improve productivity.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
