Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including service, supply, and partnership agreements.
• Advise business teams on contractual terms, risks, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure all contracts comply with relevant South African laws and regulations.
• Manage contract lifecycle, from initiation to execution and renewal.
• Conduct legal research on specific contractual issues as needed.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and provide tailored legal solutions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of contract management policies and procedures.
• Support the legal department on ad-hoc projects and legal queries.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with at least 3 years of experience in contract law.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Solid understanding of South African contract law and related legislation.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage workload effectively in a hybrid work environment.
• Proficiency in legal research and standard office productivity software.
