Job summary

QE Services IT Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a contract role in Cape Town. The successful candidate will develop comprehensive project plans across scope, timelines, resources and budgets, lead teams to deliver on time and within budget, and manage risks and stakeholder relationships.

Experience in SDLC, Agile and Waterfall, with JIRA/Confluence proficiency, is essential. The role requires strong communication, budgeting skills, and a collaborative leadership approach.

Qualifications

• IT Degree or Diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans covering scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resources and budgets.
• Lead project teams to ensure successful delivery within timelines, scope and budget.
• Track progress, milestones, dependencies and deliverables.
• Identify issues and implement corrective actions.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, clients and vendors.
• Provide clear communication on progress, risks and dependencies.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and align with objectives.
• Plan and allocate resources across activities.
• Coordinate with management for skills and resources.
• Identify and resolve resource conflicts and challenges.
• Identify, assess and manage risks proactively.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor emerging risks and adjust plans.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and requirements.
• Implement QA processes.
• Monitor outcomes and meet customer expectations.
• Develop, monitor and manage budgets; track expenditure.
