Surgo in Cape Town CBD is seeking a motivated Cyber Security Analyst for a project-based contract. You will apply knowledge of Microsoft and Linux systems, networking and cybersecurity technologies to support vulnerability assessments, incident investigations, monitoring, phishing and security awareness training, progressively taking ownership.

You will report to the cybersecurity team, create high-quality reports, and discuss findings with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience within a Cybersecurity/IT MSP role.
• Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems.
• Networking and Workplace technologies knowledge.
• Cybersecurity solutions and related technologies knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Customer-facing experience and ability to manage client relationships.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced threat landscape.

Aufgaben

• Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments.
• Research/evaluate emerging cybersecurity threats and ways to manage them.
• Generate reports for technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders.
• Monitor for attacks, intrusions and unusual or illegal activity.
• Investigate security alerts and provide incident response.
• Carry out Vulnerability Assessments and communicate with clients.
• Work to company procedures including client SLAs.
• Liaise with customers on cybersecurity issues and recommendations.
• Build relationships and act as a trusted advisor for clients.
• Ensure services are delivered efficiently and meet client expectations.
