Job summary

SBV South Africa in Bloemfontein is seeking a Junior Cash Processing Clerk to manage deposits, prepare cash on the system, and ensure accurate balancing in line with bank SLAs and SOPs. The role involves updating systems, reporting anomalies, and maintaining documentation.

You will assist with end-of-day reconciliations, handle shortages and surpluses per SOP, and support the Team Controller with daily balance processes in a busy cash-handling environment.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 with Maths and Literacy.
• Not participated in the National Certificate: Banking previously.
• Age 18-29.
• Work Level: Junior.

Responsibilities

• Receive deposits and update applicable systems.
• Prepare cash on the applicable system and report anomalies.
• Balance end-of-day deposits and reconcile with Team Controller.
• Handle all cash transactions, shortages and surpluses per SOP.
• Maintain documents and logs, and sign downtime registers as required.
