Job description

This position is based in Cape Town CBD Must have strong social media management experience to take ownership of content planning, creation, publishing and digital engagement across marketing channels. The successful candidate will turn podcast material, existing brand assets, industry developments and social trends into relevant, engaging and platform-appropriate content.

This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can combine creative thinking with strong organisation, strategic planning and an understanding of what drives audience attention and engagement across today''s digital platforms.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Translate podcast episodes, existing content and archived material into practical content plans.
• Create and maintain weekly, monthly and seasonal content calendars.
• Plan how campaigns and individual pieces of content should be adapted for each social platform.
• Ensure content reflects the relevant brand identity, tone, audience and campaign objectives.
• Make sure content concepts support wider brand messaging, positioning and marketing objectives.
• Participate in regular planning and performance review meetings.
• Identify relevant cultural, industry and social trends and find appropriate ways for the brand to participate.
• Take responsibility for the daily management and upkeep of assigned social media channels.
• Plan and oversee the creation, schedule and publication of content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook and X (Twitter).
