Job summary

RPO Recruitment's client, an established energy solutions firm in Gauteng, seeks a seasoned Construction/Project Manager to lead the upcoming solar PV plant project in the south of Johannesburg.

You will oversee construction and project delivery, ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence, and coordinate contractors and stakeholders across multiple teams on-site. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on site execution experience.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as Construction Manager / Project Manager in construction or infrastructure.
• Experience in solar PV / renewable energy projects is highly advantageous.
• PR CM or PR CPM registration with SACPCMP preferred.
• Strong construction and project management experience.
• Ability to manage contractors, project teams and deliverables.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, planning and site execution.
• Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a project/site-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee construction activities for the upcoming PV/Solar Plant.

RPO Recruitment's client, an established energy solutions firm based in Gauteng is seeking a highly experienced Construction / Project Manager to join their team for an upcoming solar PV plant project in the South of Johannesburg.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction and project delivery of a large-scale renewable energy project, ensuring that work is executed safely, efficiently and to the required quality and project standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee construction activities for the upcoming PV/Solar Plant
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors and project teams
• Monitor project progress, quality, costs and programme
• Ensure construction activities are completed in accordance with project requirements and standards
• Manage project documentation, reporting and stakeholder communication
• Identify and resolve construction and project-related issues
• Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and quality requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience in solar PV / renewable energy projects would be highly advantageous
