Placements24 is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager for Mossel Bay, Western Cape. Lead complex coastal developments from concept to completion, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and adherence to budget and quality standards.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in construction project management, strong leadership and negotiation skills, and familiarity with coastal regulations. A SACPCMP accreditation is highly desirable, with travel within Mossel Bay and surrounding areas

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive construction project management experience.
• Accreditation (e.g., SACPCMP) is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Project or Procore.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to execution.

About the Role

Our client, a leading developer renowned for its high-quality coastal property developments, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee projects in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. This role demands a leader with a proven ability to manage complex construction schedules, budgets, and teams from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, particularly adhering to the unique environmental considerations of coastal construction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of construction methodologies and regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
• Manage site operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and progress reports.
• Manage project finances, including cost control, invoice approvals, and payment administration.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience with coastal construction challenges and regulations is a significant advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet demanding deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within Mossel Bay, Western Cape.
