Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Construction Planner to join our Bloemfontein team. The role blends on-site coordination with remote planning to develop, maintain, and execute detailed construction schedules for major projects in the Free State.

You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and efficient project performance, leveraging Primavera P6 or MS Project to manage complex sequences and dependencies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler on medium to large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project for detailed scheduling.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and resource management.
• Excellent analytical and detail-oriented schedule development skills.
• Effective communication with site teams and management in on-site/remote settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules using P6 or similar software.
• Analyze project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine optimal sequence of construction operations.
• Collaborate with site teams to gather progress updates and identify delays or conflicts.
• Monitor project performance against the baseline schedule and propose corrective actions.

You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and external stakeholders, dividing your time between on-site coordination and remote planning activities. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules using P6 or similar software, incorporating all project phases and activities.
• Analyze project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine the optimal sequence of construction operations.
• Collaborate with site teams to gather progress updates and identify potential delays or conflicts.
• Monitor project performance against the baseline schedule, identify variances, and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare regular schedule updates, progress reports , and look-ahead programs for project stakeholders.
• Contribute to tender planning and bid preparation by developing preliminary construction schedules.

Requirements
