Job summary

Tshiamelo Foundation in Gauteng seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead building and civil projects from planning through to completion. You will ensure on-time delivery within budget, while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role oversees site operations, subcontractors, and project teams; you will prepare programmes, monitor progress, manage costs, and liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and contractors. Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Degree or National Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software (MS Project or similar).
• Valid South African driver’s licence.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage building and civil construction projects from planning through to completion.
• Oversee site operations, subcontractors and project teams.
• Prepare project programmes and monitor progress against deadlines.
• Manage project budgets, cost control and procurement processes.
• Conduct quantity measurements, valuations and cost reporting.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and contractors.
• Prepare project reports and attend progress meetings.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and contractual specifications.
