Job summary

HENSOLDT South Africa is seeking a Configuration Technical Administrator in Pretoria to manage configuration and document-control support for production and operations.

You will ensure accurate project documentation, maintain parts data, and control the lifecycle of electronic records across ERP and audit systems, enabling traceable manufacturing processes and ready access to critical information.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• Certificate in Administration, Document Control or Configuration Management is advantageous.
• 1–2 years’ experience in admin, document-control or configuration-management.
• Exposure to manufacturing/engineering environment advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify production/build documentation against works orders.
• Verify and maintain Parts Master and configuration records across ERP systems.
• Control printing, stamping, issuing and distribution of approved docs.
• Administer Part Master changes and data corrections in ERP.
• Scan, index and link test readiness and certification records in approved systems.

About The Role

The Configuration Technical Administrator provides configuration management and document-control support by preparing, issuing and maintaining accurate production and technical documentation. The role ensures that configuration records, parts information and build documentation are complete, controlled and readily available to support manufacturing and operational requirements.

Qualification and experience:

• Minimum Grade 12/Matric.
• A qualification or certificate in Administration, Document Control, Configuration Management or a related field will be advantageous.
• 1-2 years' experience in an administrative, document-control, configuration-management or similar environment.
• Exposure to a manufacturing, engineering or technical environment will be advantageous.

Key responsibilities:

Production and Build Documentation Control

Prepare and verify build-history files, document packs, manuals and associated production documentation against works orders and approved requirements to provide manufacturing teams with complete and current information, resulting in controlled and efficient production execution.

Configuration and Parts-Data Administration

Verify and maintain parts lists, Part Master information, version statuses and configuration records across ERP and company systems to identify and facilitate the correction of discrepancies, resulting in accurate and consistent product-configuration information.

Controlled Document Issuing and Distribution

Control the printing, stamping, binding, issuing and distribution of approved technical and testing documentation through established document-control processes to maintain accountability throughout the document lifecycle, resulting in traceable distribution and reliable record retrieval.

Parts Reactivation and Master-Data Maintenance

Administer Part Master changes and part-reactivation activities within the ERP system to identify and implement required data corrections, resulting in current and reliable parts information that supports operational requirements.

Electronic Document and Records Management

Scan, upload, index and link Test Readiness Reviews, Environmental Stress Screening certificates, job cards, engineering documentation and other configuration records within approved systems to maintain accessible and traceable technical information, resulting in reliable electronic records that support manufacturing and audit requirements.
