Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support elderly clients in their Pretoria homes. You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, and help maintain safety and independence for clients in Gauteng.

Ideal candidates have prior elder care experience, BLS/First Aid certification, and excellent English communication. Flexible hours and training are provided to support meaningful client relationships.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiver experience, preferably with elderly clients.
• BLS or First Aid certification is advantageous.
• Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Good communication in English; Afrikaans or Sepedi preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed schedules.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
• Provide companionship and engage in social activities with clients.
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Transport clients to appointments and social outings as needed.
