Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management with a strong focus on community development or social impact initiatives.
• Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, fundraising, and volunteer management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of the challenges and opportunities within community development in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage community-based projects from conception through to completion in Soweto.
• Engage with community members, local leaders, and relevant organizations to identify needs and opportunities for project development.
• Create detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Coordinate project activities, ensuring effective collaboration among community partners, volunteers, and staff.
• Monitor project progress, evaluate impact, and prepare reports for stakeholders and funding bodies.
• Ensure projects are implemented in a sustainable and culturally sensitive manner, respecting local values and traditions.
