Job summary

Placements24 invites a proactive Community Liaison Officer to foster trust and build collaborative relationships with communities around Polokwane, supporting mining initiatives in the Limpopo region.

You will develop engagement strategies, organize meetings, and ensure effective communication between the company and stakeholders to maintain the social license and deliver sustainable development for the local communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Communications, Development Studies or related field.
• At least 3 years in community engagement or stakeholder relations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Limpopo community context preferred.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Social Sciences, Communications, Development Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, or a similar role, preferably within the mining industry or large infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of social dynamics and development issues in the Limpopo region.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholder relationships effectively.
