Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Community Liaison Officer to bridge the organization with Soweto residents in Gauteng. The role combines strategic remote communication with hands-on field engagement to promote program delivery and community participation.

You will serve as the main contact for residents, organize meetings, and report community needs to internal teams, contributing to the organization’s mission and local well-being.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in community engagement, public relations, social work, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of community dynamics and socio-economic issues.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing both remote and in-person communication.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with diverse community groups.
