The role involves planning events, managing social media updates, and traveling within the Free State as required. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in related fields are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in communications or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in community engagement, PR, or similar roles.
• Strong written and spoken communication with diverse groups.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to travel locally and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement communication strategies with community members and stakeholders.
• Organize community meetings, consultations and public forums.
• Serve as primary contact for inquiries and feedback.
• Build trusted relationships with community leaders, residents and groups.
• Represent the organization at community events in Bloemfontein.
• Identify community needs and report to management.
• Create newsletters and social media updates to inform the community.
• Facilitate dialogue and resolve conflicts when needed.
• Coordinate volunteer activities and assist with projects.
