Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing Practice or equivalent.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on primary or community health.
• Proven ability to diagnose and manage a wide range of health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services, including diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses and injuries.
• Conduct health assessments, physical examinations, and order diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement patient care plans, including medication management and referrals.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health promotion, and self-management strategies.
• Manage chronic health conditions through regular monitoring and follow-up care.
• Prescribe medications and therapies within the scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
• Participate in community health initiatives, screenings, and outreach programs.
• Stay current with advancements in nursing practice and medical knowledge.
