Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote health assessments and diagnose common health conditions.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans within scope of practice.
• Provide health education and counseling on disease prevention, chronic disease management, and healthy lifestyles.
• Facilitate virtual follow-up care and monitor patient progress remotely.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records.
• Develop and implement community health initiatives and outreach programs via digital platforms.
• Refer patients to specialists or other services when necessary.
• Stay current with advances in healthcare, nursing practice, and relevant technologies.
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and ethical standards.

Requirements

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing Practice (DNP or MSN) with a specialization in Primary Care or Family Practice.
• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in South Africa.
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with experience in community or public health.
• Proven ability to perform physical examinations, diagnose conditions, and manage patient care.
• Excellent telemedicine and virtual communication skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage patient caseloads remotely.
