Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Community Engagement Officer to foster strong connections within the Paarl community in the Western Cape. You will develop and execute strategies to engage diverse community groups, facilitate dialogue, and mobilize local participation in programs.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a deep understanding of community dynamics and a passion for social good in the region.

Qualifications

• Experience in community development, public relations, or a related field.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Proven ability to engage with diverse community groups and build rapport.
• Strong understanding of the social and economic landscape of Paarl.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to increase community participation and engagement in programs.
• Organize and facilitate community meetings, consultations, and events.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, residents, and local organizations.
• Gather community feedback and insights to inform program development and improvements.
• Promote awareness of our client's services and impact through various communication channels.
